Kaiser Bill (SOLD)

When a little girl, my mother had dog she named Kaiser Bill, after the last German Emperor Wilhelm II.  The Cheyenne People sang songs about the Emporer for a long time.  At a ceremony, the dog Kaiser Bill was killed and was prepared to be eaten, much to my mother's disagreement.  My uncle Three Fingers, siding with my mother, refused to eat the dog.  He gave his reason for refusing the food, saying, "the soup is green".

Original acrylic on illustration board, framed and double matted.

Image size 4.5x3.5, size with frame 9.5x9.
